Healing the Heart: Shame, Breakups, Trauma
You are a full and complete being, no matter what you have done, or what has been done to you.
AND
That does not mean that you are living in full embodiment of yourself right now.
Because it is HARD to unlearn old patterns, and negative belief systems.
When you re used to living from fear; fear of failure, loss, rejection, or shame.
When you are used to living for the comfort of others.
When you barely even understand yourself fully.
There is no one to blame in situations like this, there is no looking back. There is only looking forward, looking to heal, and sometimes in order to heal there is work to be done.

Books serve as one of the greatest forms of nurturance because they allow us the opportunity to learn from our predecessors, and to devote our minds to expansion each time we read.
They allow us the continued opportunity to learn outside of the structured institutions that we were told were designated for learning.
Newsflash my loves:
You can teach yourself.
You don’t have to wait for the world to catch up to your desire to understand yourself.
and...
You do not have to do this alone
This book club won't be like any book club that you've joined. Healing the Heart will focus on a top-down approach of releasing shame, moving through unresolved trauma, and developing a deeper understanding of yourself. We will be expanding what it is that you understand about yourself as a survivor, as a person who feels pain, your diagnosis, your trauma, and how that ties into your current reality.

Testimonials
“It was a really great experince to be able to learn more and be part of a community in the time of the pandemic. There were a few calls I couldn’t make but the fact that there were videos to recap was really great. I also liked that there wasn’t much pressure to be on top of the reading like other book clubs which was really helpful to not feel super pressured in the group.”

Thank you for holding the container for us all to learn and grow. I’ve been meaning to read “Come as You Are” for YEARS and now I’m deep into reading generally again. Would love to join one again in the future.
— Oli (Turning to Books: Pleasure Embodiment).
“This was so fun! I love a community of women and non-binary folks coming together to discuss these deep rooted topics! It was amazing the diversity in experience that was present and that was honestly my favorite part. I love listening to people who are both the same and so different than me. It was just so eye opening and inspiring! I would even venture to say meetings could be slightly longer to allow discussion to go deeper? Maybe even just doing an hour and a half would allow for a deeper dive!”
— April (Turning to Books: Pleasure Embodiment)
“I cannot put into words how valuable this has been for me. This was the first time that I invested in my pleasure like this and it’s been insanely empowering. Thank you for creating such an inviting and nurturing space”
