MINIMIZE HARM AND MAXMIZE PLEASURE
Sex on Substances is exactly what it sounds like. There is far too little research about how psychoactive substances effect our brains, and vicariously, how they effect our sexual experiences when we engage in drug play. I've done my research, and compiled into a five video course, that will allow you to better understand your own experiences when exploring sex and drugs.
*It is important to move through this course in chronological order to best understand the information that is presented here.*
sex on substances introduction
This video will walk you through the basic understanding of how the human brain works when it comes to addiction, novelty seeking, and drug seeking behaviors. This will also give you an overview of the 4 aspects that makeup our sexuality, as well as safety, harm reduction, and language nuances that will be necessary to note throughout the course.
This video will give you an in depth understanding of the main neurotransmitters involved in these interactions. This videos covers dopamine, serotonin, norepinephrine/noradrenaline, and glutamate.
Psychostimulants are drugs that cause excitation and elevated mood, as well as increased alertness and arousal. Its global effect is to speed up signals into the brain. The drugs discussed in this video are cocaine, methamphetamines, and amphetamines.
Hallucinogens are drugs that have the potential to cause hallucinations in the brain. This vastly under researched topic doesn't offer us too much information on how this could effect our sexual experiences, but we do have a little bit of information to go off of. The drugs that will be discussed in this video are LSD, Psilocybin, and Ketamine.
This section will discuss how and why alcohol has the effect that it does on our sexual experiences, and other potential combinations of drugs.
