By overcoming sexual shame, I learned how to cultivate power through my sexuality

Growing up with a heteronormative, patriarchal, and religious frame of reference to go off of there was little room to evolve. This left me feeling uneasy when making sexual decisions and fearful that I would make decisions that would result in judgment or shame. The feeling of isolation created an urgency to find sex-positive spaces and information.

Throughout my upbringing, I was ashamed of my sexuality

I studied human sexuality studies, learning how to move through shame and take back my power

I received a B.A. in human sexuality studies and psychology from Rutgers University, during which time I found myself burdened by an irresistible lure of curiosity in all things sex; constantly seeking out new worlds of sex-positive spaces and sexual experiences.

I completed my certification to become a crisis response counselor for survivors of sexual assault

During this time I received trauma training while pursuing a volunteer position as a sexual assault response advocate. I completed 40 hours of trauma training and volunteered throughout my undergraduate career as a first responder for survivors of sexual assault.

I worked as a sex education teacher in schools for grades 7-12 facilitating sex-positive, youth-driven workshops.

I spent time working as a sex education teacher at the Masakhane Center in Newark, NJ, facilitating sex-positive and youth-driven workshops for grades 7-12. I spent this time learning how to facilitate dialogues, keep folks engaged, and navigate all things sex and sexuality in a teaching setting. It was then that I decided to begin my own journey as a sex educator.

I now facilitate workshops globally and work one on one with people as they embark on their journeys of moving through new and uncharted territories of sex and sexuality. By merging my educational background and personal experience, I learned how to cultivate power through sexual exploration. My mission today is to create a space for others to do the same.

I have had the pleasure of curating workshops for organizations across the globe including:
